Knoxville, Tenn. - Oct. 27, 2011 - All-new for 2012, the 410 Sundancer captures the very essence of a Sea Ray express cruiser: evolutionary design and technology housed in an elegantly refined package. "It's quintessential Sea Ray, with sleek lines and a timeless style," said Larry Krestan vice president of Sport Yacht and Yacht sales. "Along with beauty, the 410 is built around flexibility and comfort. It's all about meeting the customers' needs based on how they intend to use their boat."
To start with, owners can choose from three exterior architectures, including a standard sport spoiler, optional open hardtop or optional enclosed hardtop with electric front vents and available sunroof. "From the customer who wants the wind in his hair to the one who prefers an enclosed helm with optional air conditioning and heating, we can do it," said Krestan.
And the choices don't end there. For the ultimate "patio" feel, the 410's big, L-shaped wet bar is available with a barbeque grill, refrigerator (in lieu of the standard icemaker) and removable 22" flatscreen TV with remote DVD player. Opposite, a wraparound cockpit lounge can host a crowd; its backrest pivots open to create several seating configurations and extend the length of the aft sun pad. Sea Ray calls this feature a "sun gate," and it creates easily adaptable seating for onboard activities and entertainment.
Forward, a second lounge faces the helm, which has two pedestal seats that form a doublewide bench with flip-up thigh-rise bolsters and armrests. The captain commands a racy, streamlined, ergonomic control station with SmartCraft® diagnostics and VesselView display, plus optional Raymarine® E120 widescreen radar/GPS/chartplotter and dual displays.
Offering customers even more "have-it-your-way" variables, the 410 Sundancer is available with multiple engine and drive packages. Standard are twin 425-hp Cummins MerCruiser Diesel QSB 8.3-425 V-drives, or owners can opt for twin diesel engines with Zeus® pod drives and a helm joystick. "This decision goes to flexibility," said Krestan. "Someone new to boating might want the joystick, while someone old school' might want a rudder. It's also a value decision."
Below, the 410 Sundancer is exceptionally bright thanks to its large, horizontal hull windows and skylights. Refined touches in the cabin include Ultraleather seating, recessed lighting, furniture-quality wood cabinetry in the owner's choice of six finishes, and three designer-created fabric and accent packages. The spacious salon features a sofa with double top-stitching (it converts to a guest bed) and an entertainment center with 32" flatscreen TV, remote DVD player and Sony® sound system. Across the cabin, the gourmet galley comes well-equipped with a stainless-steel refrigerator and separate freezer, two-burner stove, microwave and solid-surface countertop.
An elegant dinette abaft the salon features a satin table that cleverly folds away when not in use, and this entire area converts to a double berth with a privacy curtain. Alternatively, for the owner who has kids or frequent guests, the 410 is available with a private stateroom in place of the dinette. This option includes twin bunks and a pocket door. In either configuration, this hospitable cruiser offers two full head compartments with showers, enhancing comfort and convenience for all passengers. Both facilities have VacuFlush® heads and high-end details such as hand-cut tile flooring and vanities with teak wood and accents.
Forward, the handsome master stateroom includes a full-size, island-style berth with a Visco elastic foam mattress and electric Posturepedic® backrest and extension -- perfect for reading or watching the standard 22" flatscreen TV with remote DVD player after a long day. Drawer storage below the berth, as well as two hanging lockers and gunwale cabinets, provide abundant room for travel clothes and gear. Two hull windows, an overhead hatch, premium woodworking and a private head distinguish this stateroom and give it a yacht-caliber feel.
Even with such a wealth of standard features, the 410 Sundancer has a bountiful list of options ranging from a 22" flatscreen TV and remote DVD player in the mid-berth to rod holders and a sun pad with adjustable backrest for the forward deck. The list goes on and on, presenting even more flexibility and personalization for the owner. And it all comes with a full membership in the Sea Ray Owners Club and a premium boat-building pedigree that has made Sea Ray a leading name in recreational boats and yachts for more than 50 years.
