Discover the Power of Innovation with Sea Ray at the Miami International Boat Show

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 6, 2020) —Sea Ray will showcase the power of innovation with the new SLX-R 400e Outboard, at the Miami International Boat Show, Feb. 13–17. The groundbreaking new model made its introduction in January as Brunswick’s centerpiece at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. Sea Ray will also debut the latest model featuring the SLX-R package – the SLX-R 310 Outboard.

The SLX-R 400e Outboard features cutting-edge technology, high-performance propulsion, elevated design accents and the orchestrated excellence of the SLX 400. The “e” in the model name designates a first-of-its-kind boat electrification system – Fathom™ e Power. Developed by Brunswick, the system includes high-capacity marinized lithium-ion batteries with an intuitive power management interface. This innovative solution provides boaters with a convenient and smart way to enjoy all the features of the boat, for a longer, quieter and more eco-friendly day on the water.
The SLX-R 400e Outboard is propelled by triple Mercury® Racing 450R outboard engines with Joystick Piloting for Outboards, and features Sea Ray NextWave™ innovations including Quiet Ride™ and Dynamic Running Surface™. The powerful engines provide unprecedented acceleration, enhanced handling and top speed potential with rugged reliability. The 4.6-liter V8 FourStroke powerhead is boosted by an exclusive Mercury Racing supercharger to produce 450 peak prop shaft horsepower. Other highlights include an optional Seakeeper gyroscope for stabilization; Sea Ray Connect™ remote monitoring powered by NAUTIC-ON™; and a helm with Dual Digital Dash™ NSO EVO3 16-inch displays, state-of-the-art Simrad® systems, and a premier FUSION® Apollo RA770 audio system with a touchscreen display.
Enhancing the SLX 400 aesthetic, the SLX-R 400e Outboard showcases upscale design elements including premium carbon fiber accents, Shadow metallic paint with a red boot stripe, black painted hardtop and legs, uniquely designed upholstery with red contrast stitching, red underwater lighting and red accent lighting. Its best-in-class layout offers seating for 22 passengers, an abundance of storage space and iconic amenities like the inviting sunpad and fold down swim terrace. Below deck, a generous cabin that sleeps four creates a comfortable space to escape the elements, relax or spend the night.
Along with the SLX-R 400e Outboard, Sea Ray will debut the brand-new SLX-R 310 Outboard. Powered by twin Mercury Racing 400R outboard engines with Joystick Piloting, the yacht-certified SLX-R 310 Outboard is built for sharing adventures and new experiences with comfortable seating for 17 passengers, an expansive cockpit, a wet bar entertainment center and large convertible sunpad. Boosting the appearance of the SLX 310 with sleek, premium SLX-R upgrades, the SLX-R 310 Outboard also offers carbon fiber accents, Shadow metallic paint with a red boot stripe, upholstery with red contrast stitching, red underwater lighting and red accent lighting. Technology highlights include Dynamic Running Surface, Mercury VesselView® Mobile, Simrad SelectResponse™ 12-inch dual displays and a FUSION Apollo RA770 audio system.
